CIVEA Code of Practice
In 2002 the Lord Chancellor's Department - now the Ministry of Justice - published the first 'National Standards for Enforcement Agents'. The aim of the document was 'to share, build on and improve existing good practice and thereby to raise the level of professionalism across the whole (enforcement) sector'.
CIVEA believes the enactment of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 provided the opportunity to review, revise and expand upon the original guidance. The result of that review and revision is the 'CIVEA Code of Conduct and Good Practice Guide'.
